Brazilian chic has nudged its way for two generations into pop and jazz, but few insinuate as distinctively candid and original an interpretation as does vocalist Fleurine.” (Down Beat)
Fleurine’s passionate love-affair with Brazilian music ignited on her debut album, Meant to Be! , prominently featured on her previous releases Close Enough for Love, Fire, and San Francisco (Sunnyside SSC 1182), has now come to full bloom.

For Brazilian Dream , Fleurine composed all the music on guitar and found herself a dream band made up out of up and coming , and some well established Brazilian musicians on the New York Jazz scene, some of whom she has collaborated with for many years like Vitor Gonçalves on piano & accordion, Chico Pinheiro on electric guitar, Eduardo Belo on bass, Ian Faquini on acoustic guitar and Rogerio Boccato on percussion a.k.a. Boys from Brazil. Old favorites Chris Potter on Flutes and Saxes and Brad Mehldau on Fender Rhodes and piano were added to the mix to complete her dream. Brazilian Dream showcases 8 brand new contemporary tunes based on deeply Brazilian grooves like bossa, baiao and samba and infused with plenty of Jazz. Brazilian Dream also boasts beautiful horn and string arrangements by Rafael Piccolotto de Lima. Bossa nova, lounge, singer-songwriter, chill-out, world music and jazz fans will all find something to fall in love with on Brazilian Dream.
