For over a decade saxophonist Wayne Escoffery has been astounding audiences worldwide with his tremendous live performances. After the release of his 2012 recording The Only Son of One, Escoffery went on tour performing with an ensemble with a very special guest, keyboard player Rachel Z. Live at Firehouse 12 documents one of these dramatic performances with the saxophonist’s quartet, featuring pianist Orrin Evans, bassist Rashaan Carter and drummer Jason Brown.
