Jazz legend and master drummer Albert “Tootie” Heath is a member of one of the first families of jazz, the Heath Brothers. Along with his brothers, Percy and Jimmy, he has become of the leading voices on his instrument, the drums, performing in an astounding range of contexts with the luminaries of jazz, from the tradition of Lester Young to the abstractions of Anthony Braxton.
