Marcos Cavaleiro
Marcos Cavaleiro was born in Basel, Switzerland, in 1980. He studied at the school Taller de Músics, in Barcelona, ??and later he graduated from ESMAE in Porto. He studied and attended workshops with Michael Laurent, Acácio Salero, Alexandre Frazão, Marc Miralta, Jorge Rossy, John Riley and Dan Weiss.
He already had the opportunity to work with André Fernandes, André Matos, Afonso Pais, Ana Bacalhau, Ana Moura, Bernardo Sasseti, Bernardo Moreira, Bill Carrothers, Carlos Barreto, David Doruzka, Demian Cabaud, Ernesto Jodos, Guillermo Klein, Jeff Davis, João Moreira, Julian Arguelles, Jesus Santandreu, Jorge Rossy, Leo Genovese, Maria João and Mário Laginha, Matt Renzi, Nuno Ferreira, Nelson Cascais, Phil Grenadier, Romain Pilon and Sara Serpa.
He is a member of the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos since 2007. He currently performs with the OJM, André Fernandes BOX, Demian Cabaud Quartet, Mário Santos Bloco A4, Susana Santos Silva Quintet and Jeff Davis.
He is a drum teacher in the degree of Professional Jazz of the Jobra Conservatory and professor at the Master in Jazz from the University of Aveiro.
